The Hardwood Forest Foundation

The Hardwood Forest Foundation is a non-profit educational resource. Its goal is to teach the public about hardwood trees, forests and the importance of sustainable forest management.

By supporting conservation, research and educational programs, the Foundation ensures future generations will enjoy the benefits of hardwood trees- a vital renewable resource.

Educator Scholarship Program

The Hardwood Forest Foundation's Educator Scholarship Program assists future teachers with the costs of attending college. On April 19, 2011, the Foundation will award one $1,500 scholarship and 14 $1,000 scholarships. By providing these scholarships, the Foundation seeks to better equip young professionals to make decisions that will affect the future of the hardwood industry. The Hardwood Forest Foundation Educator Scholarship Program provides financial support and teaching tools to future educators enrolled as a:

Senior in a bachelor’s education program

Student in a master’s or doctorate education program

Applications for 2011 will be made available on October 15, 2010.

Chelsea Robles of Danville, CA was selected to be the recipient of the $1,500 Hardwood Forest Foundation Educator Scholarship.  Chelsea is continuing her studies at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
